A Worker Or A Worshipper?

G od is more interested in the man than the work
he does for God that means in the work of God.
The worker is more important than the work.
Much time and effort will he spend in the training of a
Workman fit for the Master’s use. Jesus appointed His
disciples to first be with him before he sent them out
to preach.( Mark 3:14).
The calling of a man is not centered on the work of
God, but it centers on fellowship with God. I have
come to understand that God do no make any man fit
for his work on the level of talents, in fact, God calls
the unqualified and qualifies them by grace. We can
see the reason why the church is filled with thorns.
Men are eager to perform on the pulpits but with the
gospel that contradicts their own way of life. You can
never build a life in another man when a genuine life
has not been built in you, and it takes time before life
can be built in a man or woman.
Did I say that you should not work for God?
ABSOLUTELY NO!!! I think in working for God, it’s a
matter of Grace on the part of God. However, I do not
think we should ever work for God until we learn to
fellowship with Him.
Anyone who has first been with Christ, who has
enjoyed fellowship with Him can do the work of God
with eternal quality but a worker who does not
fellowship is only putting up wood, hay and stubble till
the time God will set the world on fire. God wants
worshippers before he wants workers.
Perhaps you have been sending the call of God upon
your life for a very long time now, the first thing is
not to rush and erect your ministry just because you
have completed a 2 or 5 year course in theology school,
You should start developing a strong and intimate
fellowship with God until the Holy Spirit gives birth to
Jesus Christ in your life.

Clay in the hand of the portal

My blessed readers, we are considering Clay in the Potter's hand this quarter.
For a better understanding, the topic can be rephrased as "the potter's hand in the clay" which means what the potter wants to accomplish in the clay. We as the clay in the hand of God, the potter, could simply be understood in the lieu of the rephrased topic, as what God is doing with our lives or His workings and dealings in our lives to become what He wants us to be. Just as the efforts of the potter's hand would produce for himself the desired results his heart on the clay, so God's desired result for our lives is achieved by His "own works" in us and not by "Our works or strength".
"For it is God who Works in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure" Phil 2:13
What God does with our lives or His workings in our lives is to produce the faith of the Son in us. This is talking about the fullness of Christ in us - the hope of Glory. "To them God willed to make know what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of Glory" Colossians 1:27. The working of God in us is to become like His Son which has been is purpose and intention from the beginning. How did God create man? He created man in His own image.
God wanted a man like Himself. God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...." Gen 1:26. Verse 27 says "so God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them". According to verse 26, the pronoun "our" is plural but in verse 27 "his" is singular. During the convergence of the Godhead, verse 26 says "Let us make man in our own image", therefore according to grammar; verse 27 should say "so God created man in their own image". But amazingly, verse 27 says "so God created man in his own image". How can we juxtapose this?
It is because there are three in Godhead - the Father, Son and the Spirit, yet only has be the image in the Godhead - the Son.
When the  Godhead was designing man's creation, the Bonnet indicates that man would be made in 'our' image (since they are one 'our' image was mentioned); but when the Godhead was actual process of making man, the Bible says that man was made in 'His' image.
'His' denotes the Son - Christ.
Therefore, God's purpose is to have a group of people who are like His Son. People who will have the faith of the Son.
The making of Man in God's image is the depiction or representation of man as the enigma of God's authority and rule over the Earth. "In his Likeness" can also means to instill in Adam an inner consciousness that his life does not revolve round his earth or consist in the abundant wealth his surrounding may provide but Adam's life revolves around the one who made Him. He reflects the qualities of one Greater than himself whom He was made to look like and must consistently seek to look like. The greater one whom Adam was made to look like is Christ - Rom 5:14.
Jesus revealed that God's work is "... that ye believe on him whom he hath sent" John 6:29. God's effort or work in us is to make us rise to His Fullness through the vicarious death of Christ and His resurrection. The point I am making is this, Christ is what God wants for our lives. He is the work of God for us to mature into God's fullness. God wants us to rest in His work by making "the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know.... what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead... Ephesians 1:18-20.
Our New - life reality is birthed by Christ's resurrection through the exceeding great power of God exerted in the resurrection of Christ. Even the mystery of our Faith is in the resurrection of Christ. Faith is just like a vapour without the resurrection. Christ ended the enmity between man and God and the friendship between His Church and the World. By His resurrection, we have a new birth into a living hope, and have gained access by faith into God's grace in hope of God's glory. The truth is that, we can be in Gods work by faith in Christ who is the finished work of God.
Nobel readers, having said this, there are spoiling agents that can us "marred" as vessel in God's hand. Spoiling agents such as a fearful heart, unbelieving heart or skepticism over what Christ has done for all who believe. Unbelieving heart has made most Christians link God's response to their performance: i.e, prayer, Bible reading, giving etc. If that's you, learn how to break that link and enter the rest. You are to stop trusting in yourself and put your trust in what Jesus has already done. According to Jeremiah 18:1-4, when a vessel mars in the potter's hand, he re-works it into another vessel. When one allows unbelief, rigidity of heart against God's word, indifferent to faith in God, trusting in one's good works or self-imposed religion, these things make him "mar" in the hand of His maker and thus is re-worked as a vessel of God's wrath prepared unto destruction.
In conclusion, Christ is the work God is doing in us, He is the work of God in us. Whosoever believes in Jesus has God's work done in him. Then such a person ceases from his own work and relies on God's work continues, that is, God's finished work - Christ.
And the work continues to unveil in such a person till the work has finally be made manifest in the person's life. When you rest in your own efforts or works or law, you remain under curse.
The Sabbath was to remind man of God's rest. It was a shadow in the Old Testament of what Jesus did for is in the New Testament.
God rested because His creation was complete, and there was nothing else He could add to it. Adam and Eve were confident in what God has done, and all they had to do was to receive it. This is our rest also. Trust in the finished work of God - Christ, and you will receive rest into your soul.

Fig-Leaf Religion

Fig- Leaf Religion(5)

...people have made a comedy out of religion, because men have enslaved themselves to externals and objects to the point of ridiculous. These religious pilgrims travel to their holy shrines in order to worship. Many will take a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and believe they are closer to God there than anywhere else on the planet. In God's kingdom, as He has intended it, no place is holier than another. It does not stop here....let us continue tomorrow...

Love Righteousness

'You love righteousness and hate wickedness, therefore the Lord your God has anointed you...' (Hebrew 1:9). The word 'therefore' in the above scripture shows that the key to the anointing on Jesus is what was written before the 'therefore'. 'You love righteousness". Can that be said about you? Righteousness releases the oil upon the life of a man. Don't just stand on the scriptures that confirm us as being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That is our position or status in God via the finished work of Christ. But we must by the enablement of the Holy Spirit through that finished work practice righteousness. There is a practice of righteousness that God demands from us." Don't be deceived, whosoever practices righteousness is righteous'(1John 3:7)...let's continue tomorrow....

His Presence

There's no one who believes in God and won't want His presence. Once we are assured of His presence we are bound to be confident, strong and inspired. We face challenges with a different spirit and faith. We develop a backbone that makes us bold, courageous and daring. This day, may we enjoy His presence and its benefits in Jesus' name.

"So the ark of the Lord compassed the city" (Joshua 6:11)

Lord, we thank You because of Your omnipresence. We pray that You keep us in Your presence. Stir our spirit to do those things that Your presence allows. We have boldness and courage to confront and overcome the challenges of life in Jesus' name. Thank You, Father, for Your illuminating presence around Your righteous children and family and community, in Jesus' name.

DELIVERANCE

The righteous person is not above trouble and threats. She is not immune either. Affliction can come to her in torrential force but deliverance has been promised her even ever before it comes. Steadfastness in faith towards God helps tremendously to overcome. And the Lord has promised that at such a time, she will be preserved and songs of deliverance will be in her mouth. May God deliver you from every attack in Jesus' name.

"Thou art my hiding; thou shall preserve me from trouble; thou shall compass me about with songs of deliverance" (Psalm 32:7).

Lord, we come to hide ourselves in You; preserve us and compass us with songs of deliverance, songs of praise so that our confidence in You will be strengthened or revived. May our hearts sing to You and may it result in deliverance in Jesus' name. Thank You, Lord, our great Deliverer, in Jesus' name.

Sex

Bring it on: Sex series
"I want sex"
---- a sister, to her fiance.
"When he puts his pillow between his legs and
refused to stand when I told him I was leaving after
a visit, I knew there was an erection."
------ a pastor's wife, speaking on her experience
during courtship.
In or out of courtship, we are highly inflammable.
The hush and smooth voice impresses her. Choice
of words and smiles with charm collapses her
defence. The personality and handsomeness gives
her butterflies.
Her waist twisting skills palpitates his heart. The
straight legs causes libido. Her curves commands
erection. This is the reality we are faced with as
young Christians.
Read Paul's letter to Timothy, a young pastor: 1
Timothy 5:2 "The elder women as mothers; the
younger as sisters, with all purity." He told him how
he should treat others. "With all purity" is added to
the way he should treat "younger women." Probably
Paul knew that Timothy wasn't impotent. He had
flesh and blood in him.
We will never rule out the place of prayers and bible
study if we must manage sexual desires and
unexpected erection that leads to avoidable satanic
commotion.
If he's already begging you for sex my sister, know
that he has already burnt to ashes in his heart. He
only seeks where to dissipate the energy.
Knowingly or otherwise, you've finished him! You
either help him to defile you both, or help him stay
pure. That's when you must readjust visits. If not,
the abominable is inevitable! Penetration will score
abomination!
Tell him "I love you. I love it too, but it's not yet
time." Then tell him
you'll speak more on phone until he can control the
drive. If however you too are already down in your
heart, may God help you. I will not say "avoid each
other." No. Yet I'll still say there are times you
must flee from each other. This isn't because you
don't love one another, but because you love God.
You must adjust visits, pray for one another and
discuss it to stay pure. For a single male or female
christian to demand for sex, he/she must have
resigned to disobedience in the heart. This is why
you both must give yourselves ultimatums. Discuss
it freely.
Deep kissing, tight hugging, caressing, etc have
been debated. I'll never encourage it. Your
consciences will be left soiled. I don't know the
healthy man that'll do those without erection. I don't
know the erection that doesn't encourage impure
thought. Even if you claim you're strong and it
leaves no guilt in you, what about the other person?
You must have left some spot on his/her garment.
You're only in a hurry to do what you both will
eventually overdo. When challenges of building a
home stares you in the face, you may forget sex for
a week. When secular assignments reduce
moments of pleasure, your wife will ask and you'll
say "dear please I must sleep or die." Control your
flesh by feeding your spirit now! Matthew 26:41
"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Avoid videos that display naked ladies' physical
endowments. Stop staring at your fiancees' shapely
chest. It's precarious! Look away from her
wonderfully structured backside! Ah! That thing is
the grave in which many great men have been
buried. It's ruling the present world. You're giving
PMS to the fire that'll burn you! When you're
married, it'll become your DSTV. It'll become your
multi-choice. Wait till then.
"Missionary style", "emissary style", "dog style",
scissors style", etc in marriage will be at your call
and beckon. Will you die if you don't sin now?
The sinfulness or otherwise of these "styles" in
marriage have been funnily debated. Ill discuss it
too. Let's keep it Short for now. God bless you.
To be continued....

Sex series

"Bring it on: Sex. Pls take time to read this.
"Come home quickly. Dad and mum aren't back
yet."
--- A beautiful young lady. The boy went to her
house after Sunday service to have sex with her
before dad and mum got home.
"Insult me. I don't mind. Go ahead."
--- an elderly man who wanted sex from a lady of
his daughter's age.
"Will I enter heaven with this? But what else is
heaven if not this?"
------- A young man's thought, while fornicating.
He told his friend. He's so addicted.
When a fine boy gets intimate with a fine girl, while
both of them cannot control their sexual urge, then
he that must die has met she that'll kill him.
The force of sex is strong. It'll either cleave a man
with his wife or destroy him completely in vile
bondage. Many men and women have lost their God
given dignity just for the fantasy of sex. When a
male is handsome, gifted and skilful, he's a bomb;
may he not detonate. When a young female is
beautiful, shapely and skilful, she's a killer; may she
not murder anyone. I know what I'm saying. The
flesh is wild and weak.
satan knows our vulnerability. He knows that once
the flesh is given a cookie, it'll ask for a glass of
milk. Once we taste the sweetness of sexual
ecstasy, it'll take God for us to be free. That's why
many dance and shout in church services, but are
drowning in sorrow secretly for guilt of sexual sin.
Sex is worship in a figure. When a soul gives his/
her body to God in holiness, that's worship. Romans
12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service." "Service" isn't Sunday
service.
1 Corinthians 6:13 "Meats for the belly, and the
belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and
them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for
the Lord; and the Lord for the body." When the body
is given to fornication, satan must gloat. It's a form
of "worship", during which God's property is
desecrated. Our bodies must be consecrated to
God. Consider the worship of the old covenant,
which was a shadow of the substance to come.
The priest performs ritual with the body of animals
in the outer court. Another is performed in the holy
place, wherein are the candles with light and the
showbread. After the veil, into the Holy of holies,
blood is presented before God. That level is the
highest intimacy with God. I'll spare you all details
for space and time. Only the High priest had that
honour. Today, we are priests to God. Revelation
1:6 "And hath made us kings and priests unto God
and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for
ever and ever. Amen."
We have the honour to enter into God's highest
level of intimacy if we thirst to. That's a level of
"knowing." Adam "knew" his wife. He put his organ
into her, penetrated through Eve's hymen into her.
Today, we say someone has a "carnal knowledge"
of another, after sexual activity. It's often used for
illegal sexual practise.
When we start worship, it's a level. So does the
meeting of a male and female. When it gets to a
stage, we experience admiration. That's when the
male admires the female. You hear things like "Baby
your eyes pierce into my heart. I can't just get my
mind of you. When you walk girl, my heart skips a
beat" "Baby dabaru my head!"etc. You're admiring
her.
When we enter into the Holy of holies after going
beyond the veil, we are totally taken by God. We
lose control for Him. He swallows us up. You may
hear yourself saying "Lord I'm yours. Take me over.
Use me. Let your will be done. I surrender." At this
level, you're obsessed with Jesus. Tears flow
freely. If he demands your life, you'll want to die!
You'll be saying "My soul thirsts for you. My flesh
longs for you. More of you, less of me." This is
worship.
In a figure, that's when a male gets to a level in
sexual activity, going through the female's hymen.
An experience of ecstasy and fantasy that's beyond
his control makes him feel like he's in heaven. His
heart says "Baby! I can die for you! Tell me what
you want! Oh my God!" In fact some men shed
tears. Some ladies call the guy's name. "Kunle!" Or
"Tunde!" It's a level of fantasy. The females aren't
excluded. Folks say things they wouldn't say while
they're sober or sane, during sexual climax. If it's
between the wife and her husband, oh what joy!
What peace! Hallelujah!
That's a level. Indeed, such experience is usually
demanded by the flesh over and over again. This is
just as a soul yearns for Christ. The soul of the
fornicator always yearns for sex, giving the body to
sinful worship, not to God in holy worship. He/she
can't help it. Sex is worship in a figure. Those who
indulge in fornication don't know the spiritual
implication of what they're getting into. Minutes of
pleasure: lifetime of bondage. They're worshiping
satan.
Let's keep it short for space. It's a serious matter.
It's to be continued. God bless you.
